Some time ago, I built a DIY boombox. It is based on a Up2Stream AMP2.1 amplifier (2x50W + 100W) and uses two fullrange speakers (Dayton Audio RS100-4), a subwoofer (Tang Band W5-1138SMF), and a passive radiator (Dayton Audio DS215-PR).
In a series of posts, I will describe the fundamental concept of the boombox, how I built the cabinet, and how I chose and installed the technical components.
